Day Eighty Seven

Passage of Time
Passage of Time

Camera: Canon 60D
Lens: Canon EF-S 18-135mm
Focal Length: 18mm
ISO: 200
Aperture: 3.5
Shutter Speed: 30 sec

I took this picture our first night in the Turks and Caicos.  I wasn’t sure there would be enough light to see anything but with the aperture open as much as I could get it and the shutter speed as slow as it was able to go I captured this shot!  I think it turned out pretty cool, the slow shutter speed made the water very smooth and you can clearly see the motion of the clouds.  I brought the saturation of the shot down a bit because it was a little to grainy for my liking at full saturation.  Hopefully you will all enjoy!

  1. Although normally I like there to be more bright highlights to contrast with more deep shadows, this is strangely moody. I like how the water and the sky are both very smooth, but have a different kind of smoothness. 🙂

Let me know what you think!
